Look out TissueKins, there's another manly podcast coming this way

Yeah, I can do it! I just need a better microphone.

If I do get around to recording a podcast I'll probably talk about Tetsujin 28, I have alot to say on that. I don't have a co-host, so it'll just be me mumbling to myself about Giant Robots... Sound like fun?! No I didn't think so...

Sure he's chubby, but Tetsujin 28 is loveable!

Before then, I'll probably post a review of Getter Robo Armageddon soon, and why Black Getter is the shit! Until then, keep fighting against the dread spectre.

Oh and Getter Robo sounds better in Spanish than any other language

Mecha, now far less manly

If there was one thing I never thought the evil tendrils of Moe could infect, it was Mecha. A genre filled with young pilots screaming out attacks like "Rocket Punch!" was of course far too manly to be infected by the dread spectre of Moe.

I was wrong.

Behold Mecha Mususme, Moe versions of our beloved Mecha, complete with cat ears, huge eyes and.... Miniskirts.

Sky Girls, an example of Mecha Mususme. I've never seen this show, but the little girl wearing a thong is enough to tell me, I don't wanna!

According to Wiki (I really didn't want to Google this for fear of what might come up!)

"MS bishōjo are girls drawn wearing helmets and armor designed to resemble various mobile suits, usually gundams or zakus"

It was this which made me realise, its all Gundam Wings fault. There was a time when Mecha were piloted by real manly men. Men who could destroy an army of mechanized dinosaurs without batting an eye! And when these men were told they would have to pilot a Giant Robot, their answer would inevitably be, "Hell Yeah!"

Then Gundam Wing came around with its Hippie/emo pilots, whining about why they hated their life and it led to this. Mecha Musume.

Eva can be blamed too.

M.M.A. begins!

In a landscape of anime filled with underage maids and long haired hippy pretty boys, it is hard to believe that their was a time when anime was a thing for real men! Yes, their was a time when anime was filled with Giant Robots, heads exploding and good ol' violence!

But the evil spectre of Moe has grown too powerfull. Most Manly Anime is losing the battle against the hordes of Loli's and Maids, and we are the only ones who can help.
